INFORMATION

The Lake Dwellings in Unteruhldingen are one of the biggest and oldest open air museums in the world and belong to the World Heritage Site "Prehistoric pile dwellings around the Alps". 23 reconstructed dwellings tell the life stories of the erstwhile farmers, merchants, and fishermen. Six pile dwelling villages, hovering over the waters, offer an awesome journey into times long ago.
