Meersburg

INFORMATION

Meersburg is located on the northern shores of Lake Constance, at the transition from Obersee to Überlinger See, on an altitude of 400 to 500 meters. The castle was build right at the passage for the ferry which connects Meersburg and Constance, making it the most important road link from Oberschwaben to Rätien. In the 11th century, the castle went to the bishops of Constance and Meersburg became a residential city.

JOURNEY

By car Meersburg is about 15 minutes away from Bodenseehof.

This trip is best done by bike as a tour along the lake. You will need about 45 minutes each way.
