INFORMATION

Neuschwanstein Castle is situated above Hohenschwangau near Füssen in the south of Bavaria. The Bavarian King Ludwig II., which build the castle as an idealised version of a medieval knight's castle, occupied it only for a few months and died before the building could be completed.

Today Neuschwanstein is one of the most popular of all the palaces and castles in Europe and one of Germanys most visited sights at all.
